Planning to launch a new real estate project in India? Try emails to boost sales and branding
One of the most effective ways to sell real estate properties in India is by email. If you are a developer and are planning to launch a project, ask your sales dudes to fish out that database and start sending crisp, information loaded emails to the prospects. Here are a few tips to get this done right:
1) At the numerous fairs, realty expos and shows that you have participated in, data has been generated. If you have been organised, this data would have been sorted out by your back office/ sales guys in terms of location preferred, size wanted and proposed budget. If this sorting is not available, have it done. Now match the dudes whose requirements works with your proposed project. Send them emails!
2) Keep your emails brief and informative. The subject line should be clear about the intent of your email. Name your group, the proposed project, the launch and the location with city. Do not clutter this up with any more information.
In the mail body, start with the 3D render/ artist's impression of the project. Choose the best view you have, convert it into a small file (so it does not take ages to appear on the reader's screen) and stick it up at the start of the email.
3) Follow the image bit with the project name (logo if possible) and location, key landmarks nearby, key distances, land area and nature of project with number of units on sale in how many blocks across how many floors.
4) Mention the facilities, important features that the project has to offer. Keep them in a bullet list format.
5) Mention the base price per square feet that is applicable. Also, highlight if this is an inaugural price and how long will it last. If you think right, mention the base ticket sizes as well. (For example: 2 BHK - Starts 27 lacs. 3 BHK Starts 43 lacs) It immediately rings a bell with the Indian customer.
6) Leave your contact information, website, email and name. Never send out an email without your name. Make it a little personal. Address the receiver by first name. There are intelligent and cheap, mass mailing software programs that can easily get all this organised for you at the click of a mouse.
Don't spam people with emails unnecessarily. Use the medium rightly and you will see results. Most HNIs and NRIs are people who would not like to be disturbed over the telephone. Send in a crisp email and wait for them to get back. Send in a reminder email if necessary after a fortnight. It should work.
Lastly, always give the reader an option to unsubscribe from your mailing list if she/ he wants to. It makes you look more credible, professional and is in sync with the best practices of the web based industry.
