Need more traffic for your real estate website? Read this. No credit card needed!
ROFL! Image mooched from Hubspot. |
What that effectively does is waste a lot of time, money and bandwidth of your web team. People come back to your website for content. Sadly, SEO and it's monstrous demands will not leave you with much time to build that content.
We got an email this morning about back link building. It was exciting because here was someone who said she wanted to write for Indian Real Estate for Dummies. Wow, we thought. A new author on the blog would be nice. We would learn new stuff and our regular readers would have some more food for thought to chew on, or another cool joke to laugh at.
Here is that email:
Dear Webmaster,
Greetings of the Day!
I came across your site “www.indianrealestatefordummies.in” while surfing net and found it to be thematic (Thematic? What on earth is that? - Abhijit) with our site. We are interested in doing guest post on your site & can provide you with some excellent quality unique content for your site. In turn, we would request you to provide us only 2 dofollow backlink from the body of that article.
It can be mutually beneficial for both of us since you would be able to get free unique good quality content & we would get one back link from a relevant page on your site.
Kindly let me know if you are interested in our proposal.
Thanks & Regards
RD

Dear RD,
We are always open to new ideas, contribution and content. The back link is also not an issue with us.
However, we need to see your content to see if that is in line with what we write for our readers.
Now it is on you to convince us that this is a good deal.
Best regards,
The Indian Real Estate for Dummies Team

The reply from RD came in the next 30 minutes, with an article attached. The article made us grimace. It started nowhere, went everywhere and conveyed nothing. Had we published that, you, our reader would have wondered what suddenly went gone wrong with us. Is the financial crisis eating away our brains too?
Excerpts from the article we received.
Author Bio: RD is a professional writer working for property website 2700-magical-hectares.com. This website provides services for all types of property buying, selling or renting in Indian real estate domain. Information on residential and commercial properties, rental homes, Bangalore properties, apartments for rent in Bangalore, are available.
We do not need a professional writer telling us about real estate. We need an experienced real estate professional writing that instead. We need a unique story or an experience, no matter how simple or bizarre it is. We need originality. That would make us love that article. It would work for you as well, right?
Woh! So you are still reading this. Here are some stupid and time tested website traffic increasing tips for you.
#1. Build a website that is genuinely helpful and makes a difference to the lives of your viewer/ visitor/ customer.
#2. Design your website and blog in a simple, stupid way. Important things in important places. Keep it clutter free.
#3. Passionately create unique content. Your real estate pictures, cartoons, articles and videos should be relevant and helpful. Be original. All you need, to get a lot of traffic to your real estate website is a thinking head and a keyboard. Period.
#4. Do not worry about keywords, page ranking, hits per day and other mind boggling figures. You do not have to be spend truck loads of money to be noticed by search engines. If you are good at what you do, people will notice you and come back to your website again. That will make the search engines look at you.
#5. If you need a back link from this website, just write your stuff and email it to us. Remember that you do not have to impress us. You just have to be yourself. We will do the rest.
We are also available to review your real estate website and send you some helpful feedback. Not as techies but as simple and stupid visitors trying to learn from your real estate website or blog. You could write to Pillars Support mentioning your website link and anything else that you have to say.
doyoufollow? nofollow? Lol!
Cheers!
That link bait image rests at this Hubspot page. They have a lot of other cool visuals. We love them!
