Need a boost for your real estate business? Try a train ride!

boost your real estate business with a train ride
An AC 2 tier coach. A great place for new associations.
"You know the biggest challenge hoteliers face is that once a guest is inside the room, how do you get him/ her out of there to use some of the facilities of that hotel. Our company is into finding solutions for such issues using interactive digital media", said Surojit, sitting across our seat in the train.

Over the next 8 hours or so, in which we were awake and talking, we learnt so many interesting and little known facts about the hotel industry and the telecom industry from Surojit. We also shared with him some of the things we knew about real estate in general. At the end of it all, we came back from that train ride, so much wiser.

Another gentleman, a civil officer, belonging to the secretariat of one of the states of India joined in our conversation quickly after he had destroyed his breakfast in seconds. Man he must have been hungry. This man, with his in depth know how of the political situation, economy and general state of affairs added value to almost all facets of the discussion this morning. And, he had a super sense of humour!

After we reached our destination, we quickly calculated what all we had gained in the train.

1. A good friend in our client, who we had gone to visit in Agra.
2. An association with a new age firm that deals with system integration. They have also promised to collaborate with us when we make relevant presentations to clients in the hospitality industry.
3. An appointment with the head of the Housing Board of an Indian State, and
4. About a kilo of weight each after stuffing our faces with the incessant railway f&b hospitality.

All in all, we are hooked to train rides. Kaushik was last seen mumbling something about what a waste flying was and how doing the train thing more often could seriously reduce his burden of finding new leads.

Oh, and did we tell you? We met the owner of a top of the line apparel boutique as well, who is looking for spaces on high streets of certain cities. Now, where is that list?

Cheers!
