Mr. and Mrs. Urbani Zed and their home ownership journey through 12 years! |
Before you bet both/ all your jewels on a 'room with the view' dream, check out this funny we made just for you. As Mr. Urbani Zed painfully realized in the comic above, brochures and sales pitches promising you ownership of that 'room with the view' could turn into a disastrous experience as years go by. Real estate builders love to flock to locations that can be described by words like serene, peaceful, green and 'far away from the city'. We think they have secret teams just scouting for such plots even as we write this. And then, they just build in that place till all those words are taken apart, letter by letter.
Leaving behind homes with views of other people's service balconies, where critters make nests to do nasty things and the pile of used beer bottles keeps getting bigger. All this, while you have roughly 96 more home loan EMIs to pay.
We don't envy you Mr. Urbani Zed. May God give you strength.
I often pose this question to investors who have lost money: if you had the value of the investment in cash, would you buy it today? If not, sell it. And if you’re Milan, it sounds like your answer should be to sell the condo and buy the townhouse. Thanks. Nadia@
