- India's # 1 Stupid Real Estate Blog Since 2011 -

Is your real estate website or blog mobile friendly?

Here is an example of a real estate website's 'before and after' mobile optimization
"In 2014 our data revealed that 30 percent of all searches came from a mobile device, while in the year to date this has increased to over 60 percent. In response to this Google is changing its search algorithm to reward sites that are mobile optimised." - Nathan Barling writes in his latest story -
Are you ready for Google’s mobile algorithm change?

After April 21, 2015, Google is using mobile-friendliness as a significant ranking factor in searches.

This change may impact your real estate website's/ blog's placement in search results, as announced on their blog in this post. Many are calling this change "Mobilegeddon", although it doesn't have to be the end of the world for your website. Just make sure it's mobile friendly.

Nathan further adds that "With mobile search growing at 10x the rate of desktop, businesses that don’t have mobile ready site stand to lose up to 1/3rd of their traffic. More than two thirds of Fortune 100 companies are not considered mobile friendly, according to research firm SumAll, so this is set to have a big impact."

If your website is mobile-friendly, chances are that you will rank significantly better in Google searches than your competition's non mobile-friendly real estate website. If you don't pass that test, your first priority should be to make your online presence, as mobile friendly as possible.

IREFD, which runs on blogger was mobile friendly right from the start. However, we did run that test to double check and got a green light.
